Grid

Is there a grid that can be displayed for each axis?
Or do I need to make one? Maybe out of guide lines? Maybe on another layer?

Thanks Pilou. Just starting with SU. Not sure I'm ready to venture into the world of plug-ins.

My advice would be to skip the plugins for now. Get used to the inferencing and you won't need grids. You know when you're drawing or moving on axis by the color of the trailing line. Also make sure you're orbiting around as needed. Remember you're doing sculpture, not painting.

There is not in native tools (except maybe the Sand Box "From Scratch") but you can try the Work plane by Tig!
(Square, rectangle, radial, oriented etc... grid(s)! -
3D grid from this site., Ruby Library Depot.
I use it all the time.

If you're having trouble keeping track of where the axes are, trying setting the cursor to show coloured croshairs that relate to the axes. I now use it all the time, go to Windows > Preferences > Drawing > Display Crosshairs

Also, when you see the trailing line hold down the shift key and that will lock the axis in as you draw.
