      I have used Sketchup everyday for 11 years. I have had a some trouble with SU2014. I asked Trimble 2 SU tech questions over the last month. Both times Trimble Tech answered my question 3 days later. Can you really call that Support.

      SU2014 is very buggy. It freezes up at least 3 times a day. I have beta tested software before and this seems like a beta version. It seems to me that Trimble is not that interested in SU. I really didn't have that much trouble with 5, 6 and 8. I miss Atlast Software.

        Try saving your model that freezes in SU2014 as a SU8 version, load it into SU8 and see if you can work without interruption on it.

        Also, are you getting any error messages, or just freezes? If you are getting error messages, post them. There are enough eyes on this forum to point you in the right direction.

        Lastly, I am not familiar with Mac, but if you let the forum know what OS is on your Mac, you might get some more help. In this case TMI, or over communicatin is not a problem

          I've had a similar problem Trimble.

          I never had any problems exporting CAD files from 2013. However in 2014, exporting this one file, it would turn on hidden lines, which meant the CAD drawing was screwed. I take the same file and it would export correctly from 2013.

          Sent in question, answer, "It must be you graphic driver". Now this is the same graphic driver for both programs. And the problem only occurred on this one file. Good thing I had 2013 to finish.

          Just thought they would want a head ups. Guess not.

          So, I just keeping 2013 for these very rare happening.

            Support is still done by the SketchUp team (which is constantly hiring). They are not different people as terms like "Google Tech" or "Trimble Tech" would give the impression. I think it rather indicates SketchUp is busy and growing.

              probably an incompatible plugin/extension copied from an ol' SU version... disable all plugins and try to reproduce the crashes:
