      Hi

I purchased Sketchup Pro for work

We work on Windows 7 enterprise. The administrator allowed me to install Sketchup.

Everything works except styles and materials pallettes.

I have re installed severaltimes, deleting Sketchup directory, but same problem persists.
      the error message says

      Eg “Error Loading File C:\Program Files\Sketchup\SchetchUp2013\Styles\Sketchy Edges\Airbrush with Endpoints.style”

any help on this is appreciated

      Thanks
      Rob

        The path

        C:\Program Files\Sketchup\SchetchUp2013\Styles\Sketchy Edges\Airbrush with Endpoints.style

is probably a folder/file which has limited access rights for ordinary users - can your IT guys give you better permissions ?
Also get them to check that .style and .skm are not being blocked by the firewall - these are in effect .zip files renamed with an alternative filetype suffix, so they might be perceived as a security risk ?

It is possible to have 'collections' of Styles, Materials and Components in folders within your own 'user' area on your PC, where you have FULL permissions to add/use those files...
You can link those into SketchUp as custom collections...
Then you [or IT] could move all of these 'protected' files out of the ' Program FIles' path to your own user equivalent...
Although, of course each user on that PC would need their own collections setup ?
