    Hi All,
Just wondered if there's a way to batch export PDFs from a LO document. Was able to do this on VectorWorks and its really useful. In VW, you set up your pages / sheets and when you do a batch export you can either export them as one multi page PDF document or as individual PDFs for each page. When exported the individual PDFs are named the same as the sheet in VW.
Does anyone know if this is possible in SU - it would be a really hand feature, it saves me lots of time having to extract pages and rename from VW pdf's.
The new autotext features are great but think being able to export with page numbers as names of PDF's would be extremely useful.
    Thanks . . .

Layout lets you specify what pages are in the exported PDF, but it's inside one file.
However, this was discussed a few weeks ago... and if you don't have full-Acrobat, then there are several free on-line services which will quickly split a PDF up into individual page PDFs, or remove/combine pages etc - see here for more discussions and a link:

        Thanks TIG,
I already do this using acrobat. Im wondering if its something that might get built into LO as a feature at some point. It was a feature that I used on every project when I was working with VectorWorks and was a massive time saver. Splitting large documents is very time inefficient, especially as all of the page data has already been entered once in LO. Just think being able to do this from LO would be useful.
        Cheers

It's simple enough, I don't see why it wouldn't be available...

This is why I wish Layout was built in the same way SketchUp was in that it had ruby or some other open source abilities... Then there would be no limits to what it could do.
