      Usage:
      Plugins > TIG-scale2surfacearea
      Context-menu > TIG-scale2surfacearea [with a suitable preselection]
      Action:
      Preselect a Solid Group/Component-Instance Object.
      Activate the Tool.
      The Object is Scaled to give the Surface Area entered in the dialog,
      you also specify the Units and the Scaling's Anchor-Point
      [Object's Bounds-Center or Insertion-Point].
      You can also specify its 'Mode' - to work on the Original or a Copy.
      Objects are made unique.
      The Scaling is one step undoable.
      The dialog displays the Object's Surface Area in current Units.
      The last used Units, Anchor-Point & Mode are remembered during that session.

        Awesome, thanks so much TIG.

        This plugin is perfect for reducing surface area of a model for 3D printing in ceramic.

        With i.materialise 3D printing service, ceramic is charged by surface area so this plugin will be useful to anyone 3D printing in ceramic and looking to reduce costs.

        Thanks again, this is above and beyond what I expected.
