Push pull not working
-
Hello all,
I'm using Make 2014:
I built a quick gear with the SPGears Plugin. Nice plugin, worked well.
It is grouped with each tooth and the base on the gear being a component. But now the push-pull tool does not work on this gear. The top and bottom surfaces are flat, so it should work. Follow me and offset also don't work. Scale does work.
I'm sure it's something easy, considering I'm a total noob.
Anyone??
Thanks,
Tom

Push pull only works on faces, make sure that you are editing the group/component to reach the single face...

I don't seem to be able to select any surfaces. Also, is there not a way to push pull multiple surfaces simultaneously?
Thanks,

If these faces are inside a group or component instance you must first edit that [double-click or the context-menu]... then you can select a face to PushPull...
If you have several faces you want to apply the same PushPull to, then a Plugin like JointPushPull can extrude several faces in one go.
Alternatively. the native PushPull remembers the last used distance, so double-clicking on the next face with PushPull uses the last used extrusion distance, so no need to snap or type in a distance for subsequent PushPulls using the same distance... -
Awesome, thanks TIG!
