I am using SketchUp 2014 and the latest version of V-Ray. I have the Exposure Box on my camera disabled because I am using an HDRI image. When I render the model my shadows are washed out. How can I increase the shadow intensity?

What's your thinking, why wouldn't you use camera exposure? I would suggest using it.

If I keep the exposure box checked then the camera settings determine the lighting parameters rather than the HDRI maps.

But that's the point of the camera isn't it. Do you use the same exposure for an interior shot as you do an exterior shot? Same lighting, right, but different EV.

If you are using an HDRI as a dome light, you only need to disable the GI and BG in your Environment. You should exposure in PC. I dont know why you would ever disable this.
