      Indeed!
I also wrote to the author asking for some implementations, and he told me that he's thinking to widen the range of options for the wood section! Don't know his times though..

sdmitch has built tons of great stuff, he never toots his own horn though... This is a great little addition. Good find.

OOBLayouts does some similar stuff. it's a pay plugin though, $30.00

Schweeet. if someone is watching... variable depth of each tile would be awesome. then I could use it for 3D stone too.

Well that's the mother load that Pixero, myself and lots of others would like to see. Variable textures, depth, spacing and deformity would give us the kind of flooring/tiling needed for photoreal rendering. Currently you have to do that manually in SU and it's a real pain...,sorry I mean labour of love.

Fractal terrain eroder makes it a little less painful these days. I love that plugin!!!

Do you have a slight idea how many are already working on one? πŸ˜†

To avoid duplicates, I just ask: is anybody else working on it?
Otherwise I would do it. (This is just a mockup.)

                        FloorGenerator plugin has been posted.

Nothing is worthless, it can always be used as a bad example.
