Are you able to access it via a browser outside of SketchUp?

          Thanks BTW for your help.

I'm having a problem with Brighter 3D plugin which worked very well in 2013. I've posted on the website already but I was hoping someone here might have an idea.

The problem arises when I try to use the instalation file from the website. It won't recognise the new location of the plugin folder. If i drop the plugin from my other 2013 instalation into the new 2014 plugin folder ...nothing...

          Any ideas would be helpful.

          Thanks

Yea, I saw they posted in the Developer section. They are using some binaries with their extension so they need to update for SU2014 as the Ruby interpreter was update to a new major version.

What about Internet Explorer? Under Windows SketchUp will use the IE browser engine for it's in-browser windows.

I can't find any of the following files on my windows 8 computer
                  C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014\SketchUp\Plugins
                  C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014\SketchUp\Plugins

                  That is expected.

SketchUp's installer is designed to create only folders it will populate itself. Since we don't put anything into those folders, we don't create them. Either you must create them yourself, or they may be created if needed by something installed from the extension warehouse.

Make sure you pay close attention to the other threads' discussions about exactly the right places to install your plugins, as well as the differences between "All Users" and an individual user's folder. Unless there are multiple people using the computer who all need access to the same plugins, I always recommend installing them in your own user's folder, not in "All Users". Make sure you put your plugins in the right place according to your needs.

If you use the Preferences > Extensions > Install tool the RBZ contents are automatically extracted into the correct 'USER' Plugins folder in v2014.
The SketchUcation PluginStore dialog [running within SketchUp] will also find and use that correct Plugins folder to AutoInstall Plugins for you...

To find your personal 'USER' Plugins folder for SketchUp v2014 use this in the Ruby Console:
                    Sketchup.find_support_file('Plugins')
                    It returns:
                    C:/Users/USERNAME/AppData/Roaming/SketchUp/SketchUp 2014/SketchUp/Plugins
This is the default 'USER' Plugins folder into which SketchUp v2014 auto-installs...
It is made with FULL security permissions 'for you' - for a reason!
You can also approach the Plugins folder down a different route [ C:/Document and Settings/USERNAME/../Plugins etc] BUT these folders are hidden by default, and can have restricted access-permissions en route [for a reason!] - so always go to your own unlimited C:/Users/USERNAME/../Plugins folder-path, IF you need to access that folder 'manually' πŸ˜„
That folder is made there, in that way, for a reason!

I recommend that you should neither make nor use ../All Users/.../SketchUp../Plugins folder, unless there are several users on the same PC who want to share Plugins...
It's best to keep installations 'per USER'.

Do NOT recreate a Plugins folder inside the 'Program Files' main SketchUp subfolder...
Do NOT manually place any Plugins into any of the subfolders within this 'Program Files' main SketchUp folder...
It has limited security permissions for a reason!

Do not make/use a folder within the 'ProgramData' folder either πŸ˜’
                    It's a restricted/hidden 'system' folder for a reason!

                      Breaking news. πŸ˜„
New optional addition to the SketchUcation Plugin Store's Toolset...
                      Find My Plugins Folder
                      http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=SCF-openPluginsFolder
Install it using the RBZ or directly from within SketchUp [you need to restart SketchUp to get its additional SketchUcation submenu item]...

Now you can automatically find and open your SketchUp Plugins Folder from within your current SketchUp version.

Note that this is actually the path listed on the top of the Plugins Manager dialog πŸ˜•

SketchUp always uses IE, irrespective of any other Browsers setup.
Have you tried opening IE and emptying the cache...

What version of IE do you use ?
Can you upgrade to the latest one ?

Rarely the dialog fails to load - e.g. you might have a slow Internet connection or a similar glitch.
If you close it and retry what happens ?
