      Hi,

Something that has been bothering me since I upgraded to 2013 back in March is my custom toolset.
I have a lot of my plugins in my toolset (see picture below of untitled 1) and sometimes when I open sketch up I get a blank document without my custom toolset. Sometimes when working on a previously saved file that had the full toolset the said toolset reverts to basic when i open and close the file. Its a random thing so sometimes it will be fine for ages and other times it does it all day long as I am open closing files. Does anyone know why this might be?

also I randomly get a message saying "A new version of Sketchup is available" but when i click the link it takes me to the 2013 download which is the one i have. I do have previous versions of sketchup loaded going back to sketchup 6 so I thought this was conflicting the file but I started checking the About Sketchup tab whenever I saw this prompt and it everytime it says I am running 2013.

Its just a small issue but it can be frustrating haveing to sit there and re-open toolsets all the time.

      Thanks

      Luke

I've no answer about the toolbars, sorry.
But even when running 2013 you do "need to" update from time to time (maintenance releases with minor fixes). Check which version of 2013 you have and compare that to the latest.

There were some issues related to toolbars with the first release of SU2013. If you are still running that issue, you should update to the current maintenance release. Since it is still SU2013, of course you get taken to a download page for SketchUp 2013. This messages indicating there's a new version to download relate specifically to the version you have open.

cheers guys, I'm rubbish at computer related things like downloading and installing things. does it automatically update stuff or is it a long winded process of removing the old version and putting the codes in and all that annoying stressful stuff that never works when I try and do it.

You should download the correct version for you operating system and install it. It will install over your original without needing any changes.
