    ha everyone,
I'm a new sketchup user, thanks in advance for your awesome forum!
    First question is:

    1. is necessary for distribuited rendering in vray to have a lan?
    2. if yes what I have to sharing between macs? documents, application...
    3. Is XMLDRspawner starts automatically when sketchup starts on mac?

    Thank you!

ok, find answers on my questions:
1)yes, it's really better to create a network ad-hoc then use network that use normally for internet.
      2) no, I think
      3) yes, it's necassary to activated only on slave machines but remember to activated "distributed render" on both machines,
      Thanks Andalo!

Yes, i'm using a wireless network. the prblem is render starts whit 2 "squares" (2 cores) and after few minutes starts to render other 2 core of slave machine and sometimes does not starts. where is the problem?

ok, another solution: when create a lan you have to share material foldelrs and project folder. At the moment I don't know how create an ethernet lan. only wifi. If someone can help me...

you might try sharing this way:

-physically connect two macs via ethernet (or firewire or thunderbolt)
-open a finder window on one of the computers and you should see the other one listed under 'devices' in the finder sidebar
-click on that then use the 'connect as' button at the top-right of the window.
-enter the password of the other computer and you should be linked up with access to everything

When connecting two computers directly you will need a Cross-Over network cable otherwise you will have to introduce a hub/router.
