3DConnexion now Sponsors. We are free raffling 24 devices!
-
Hi All,
Just to let you know that 3Dconnexion are now SketchUcation Sponsors! I have been working with John Moseley of 3Dconnexion to make this happen as we feel it will be a win win for both SketchUp users and 3Dconnexion.
I have been using the newly launched SpaceMouse wireless over the past few weeks and find that it has increased my SketchUp productivity immensely. It took a short while to get used to it but now that muscle memory has kicked in its become second nature.
The best part of this new sponsorship is that we will be giving away 24 3Dconnexion devices for free to our Premium Members!!!! Starting this month we will be holding a draw for a SpaceMouse Pro valued at $299 as first prize and even better again there will be a 2nd place prize of a SpaceMouse Wireless.
The SpaceMouse Pro is a really impressive piece of kit, its the latest addition to 3Dconnexion’s line of professional 3D mice. With an advanced ergonomic design and innovative On-screen Display, it delivers superior comfort and a simpler, more productive workflow. The SpaceMouse Pro retails for $299. Read about it here,
http://www.3dconnexion.com/products/spacemousepro.htmlThe SpaceMouse Wireless, for me, is the ideal navigation device for laptop users because of its small footprint. I perch it just to the left of my MacBook Pro keyboard and it stays in place even while working at a tilt as it has a rubber pad on the underside. The SpaceMouse Wireless retails for $129. yay!

That wireless one looks brilliant, just what I need.

I used a SpaceNavigator for years till i quit working. Would definitely like to have one again. So much better than a scroll mouse.
-
Will they be randomly given away ? Or is there some kind of contest ?
-
I use a 3d connexionspace navigator at work. Great bit of kit.

Does one qualify for this raffle if they are a Premium member?

Yes, the draw will be free for Premium Members and held once a month. Rich and Gabor have sorted out a system to operate this and Rich will be announcing details over the next few days.

Sorry Mike. It looks like the forum didn't recognize the Plus sign. My question was if a Premium Plus membership qualifies. I noticed it's a bit cheaper, so I wanted to confirm.
Thanks

I might be a little slow, but once a month x 24 = 2 years...

Mike says 'devices' so I reckon that is 12 months worth of prizes.

A SpaceMouse Pro and a SpaceMouse Wireless will be won each month.
You WILL need to register for the draw each month.

My hand is quivering over my holster: ready to draw

So, will mods also be allowed to enter?
-
Anyone with the ability to generate a raffle number can enter. As far as I am aware all mods are Premium members since before the new site launch in September 2012 as you were all involved on testing the new site prior to that.
So, yes you can enter. Admins are not allowed to enter and neither are regulars.
We've a separate plan for regular members not yet fleshed out.
-
All of those who will be in the "Premium Member" group at the moment when they're registering for the raffle wiil be able to participate.
Those who are not members will get a page informing them that they are not members of the premium group at the moment they try to register for the raffle. -
Have we had the first signup yet? Relive me from my pain so I don't have to keep hitting "refresh"

Ash, I don't think you have to worry. Rich will be emailing the Premium Members with the draw 'sign up'
