You probably ought to go to sketchup.com and make contact there.

There is an eight hour time difference between you and them. They do have to sleep sometimes. πŸ˜’

You didn't answer why you won't place the dimensions in LO. You can make much better looking dimensions if you use LayOut's dimension tool.

                  1. I cant snap on layout precisely (our I do not know how). Especially for small details.
                  2. I do not know how to put on new patterns. BAsically I need to redraw all contours to use patterns from layout.

If I could ... I would be happy to do these in Layout.

As for precisely snapping dimensions, there's no trick. Make sure you have Object Snap enabled (Under the Arrange menu)

I don't know what you mean by putting on new patterns. Could you explain it?

What I know is that to use these pattarns I must draw in layout. And then its very timefull. I must open plann in layout and then draw on top of it new plan ant then I can use patterns.... is that right???? maybe I do not know ..?

Then Snap. If I want to snap nice somewhere its a huge risk I will snap in wrong place. On big plann risk is mall, but on small furniture details ets... its big. When I place dimensions in SU, I can zoom wery close snap dimention then return back save csene with dimentions ( i usually make several scenes- one side view, one top..etc) Then I open these scenes and make Hybrid render.

I make all section cuts also in SU too. Maybe I can send you some SU file... you will see how I do these and maybe will help to fin better ways. But I work these way already 3 years... final result is nice.. but I wouuld like to do it right way of course

I still don't understand what patterns you are talking about. Do you mean patterns for templates to cut out pieces of wood? You don't have to draw them in LayOut. Just use SketchUp for that. Create a scene for the pattern in SketchUp and make a viewport at the proper scale in LO.

As to dimensions, you write about a risk as if someone's life is hanging on it. There is no problem dimensioning small things accurately and precisely. I create plans for furniture and other woodworking projects all the time using LayOut. I don't have any problem using the Dimensioning tool in LO for this.

Post the LO file or send it in a PM if you wish. I can get to the Sketchup file from there.
