      Hi To all:

I model a simple rug with a tutorial that i found in the web. I use a pillow to model the base rug and unfortunate I try many plugins to straight the centers of each side to look better without success.

Does anybody have the skills to modify my model and straight the centres so it looks kind of a rectangle. The corners rounded are fine just need to change that. I try to create my own model of rug and simply sketchup just crash with vray 1.6, this model is working but need some touch.

You are welcome to save the material just change the color of the rug and change the displacement number as you wish.

      Thanks for any help. 😎

I wouldn't use displacement to make a rug now that we have proxies. you can use the Make Fur plugin to create a small area of rug and then make that into a proxy and populate the rug with proxies which will render much faster. There is a tutorial on the Chaos site for making a grassy hill, those principles can be used for making a rug also.

Thank you for your time. i try that already and have no good results. I am still need help with the base model. If someone can step out and straight the centres of the model so look more rectangular I really appreciate. I know there are masters of modeling that can help me with this model.

          Thanks. 😎
