Instant report/Entity Info

Maybe this is possible already,
I would like a quick method of viewing x, y, and z lengths without having to dimension every component in my drawing. The Entity info will give me a volume but that's not sufficient. The report generator will do it but in inches? not helpfull. I can apply dynamic component attributes but that's time consuming?
what I would really like is either more xyz length info in entity info or even better a "pop up" info box when I hover over a component.
Any ideas

Hi Simon,
I use Jim Foltz's jf_get_dimensions.rb plugin for that. I set up a keyboard shortcut for it so I can select a component and hit the key to get the dimensions. Normally I just export a cutlist for all the parts but once inawhile, after i've made the cutlist and edited it to my liking, I have to make a small change in the model that doesn't warrant repeating the cutlist process. Then I interrogate the model with get_dimensions for the ones I need to edit.
