Can't dock toolbars in Mac OX

For some reason, since upgrading to Apple Mountain Lion, I have been unable to dock any plug-in toolbars to the top or side of the SketchUp workspace. I have just upgraded to SketchUp 2013 and I still have the same problem (thought it might go with new release).
Has anyone got a solution for this?

They've never docked on the Mac. This isn't a bug. It's just the way toolbars work on the Mac. You can customize the toolbar across the top but you only get one row of icons.

what do you mean by 'Dock', to me that's a 'PC' only feature, when you 'dock' a toolbar to the 'SU window'.
on mac you can only 'position' them relative to the 'screen' containing the 'SU window', and this is 'remembered' on 'close' for most plugins, but not all.
can you add a screenshot explaining what you mean because I see no changes in behaviour on my mac.

What you may be overlooking is that the MDI interface on the Mac is not amenable to "docked" toolbars. The same instance of SketchUp can have several models open, each in its own window, at the same time. If you could "dock" a toolbar to a single window, it would cause even more confusion. Did you mean it to apply to all open models (in which case docking has no advantage over the existing Mac style), or really to just this one window (and why do that)?
So, I think the only sensible solution is to adapt to the Mac way of handling this.
[edit] Or did you mean that you'd like the toobars to attach to the edges of the desktop? That would make sense.

thanks for the responses. Same message three different ways I think.
I use both Mac and Windows and, for some reason (stupidity, probably!), I thought that I used to be able to dock the toolbars on a Mac. Now have to admit that I have spent 472 hours trying to get them to dock in the same way as they do on a Windows machine.
If I can't dock the toolbars, I am throwing the iMac in the bin and, while I am at it, my iPhone and iPad are going too. In fact, I am leaving my wife and two young kids and going off to join a buddhist retreat in Tibet, waxing all my body hair and becoming a One Direction fan.

I use both Windows and Mac and it did take a little getting used to. On the Mac I just keep my drawing window a bit smaller than the screen so I can have the toolbars placed outside. It works well enough.

I have to admit, I do like my iMac. It will be easier to leave the wife and kids than throw the iMac out. If only the iMac could cook and grumble incessantly I would never have needed the wife.
Dave, I'll be in Tibet and up in the mountains. Might be hard to get electricity and/or internet access. I'll have to go to one of the local MacDonalds. Bound to be a few of them up there!

I think you were meaning that you couldn't get the tools to lay up on the side on the MAC, like the traditional two columns of basic tools: Draw, Move, Measure, etc. on PC I re-installed Sketchup now now and was also confused about my toolbars.
found them again under >View >Tool Palettes >large tool set.
it has most the common ones leaving space on the top row for 'extra' icons. hope this helps, if it's what you were getting at.
