I don't really have a need for it but I just installed it now because of your post. It seems to work fine for me. It makes trees like it says on the box.

Works fine for me inside Su2017 Make !
Make your change(s) then Right Click on the selection / Context Menu 3D Arc Studio Tree/ Redraw.
Free version

3DArcStudio Tree Maker Sketchup Plugin can be downloaded for free from this site. The free version gives you access to all features, except you are not granted the right to sell or distribute trees created with the plugin, you will get one message each time you change configuration and little time to wait before the tree starts drawing, and you will not get access to all the tree templates included in the full version. If you like this plugin, you can get a licence for 10 euros that will remove those limits.Possible with the free version
Time was 5 s
Rendered with the free SimLab Composer Light! maxi 1920 * 1080 (a KeyShot like)
Can reload quasi any format of files! -
PS But you right : Configuration Menu works not like inside Su2016!
Seems some parameters are not responsive like "Number of truncs"...
and more curious the 2 buttons Redraw and Draw Proxy! So it's a very good habit to keep old versions of SU!

I downloaded the plugin from Sketchucation store within SU just the other day and read the post about the difference between free and paid so I don't think that's the issue I'm having. The drop down list of templates shows none either for the trees or grass. May be some knows something I don't (which is entirely possible).

The plugin does not work on SU 2017, try with SU 2016 or 2015.

If it doesn't work in SU2017, why did I get trees from it in SU2017?
http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=323%26amp;t=52540%26amp;start=240#p613826It worked for Pilou with no problem either. Maybe we're doing it wrong.

Perhaps because you use Windows, mwm5053 & me work on Mac, the plugin works fine in SU2016 on Mac but in SU2017 it appears the issue that mwm5053 describes.
-
I just removed all website data in Safari and Google Chrome ( some plugins I remembered use web dialogue something or other ) like the Fur plugin that I had problems with on Mac but still no choice for choosing type of tree.
Edit the Fur plugin does work in SU 2017 and OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite
-
I guess it's a Mac-related problem. I've tried to install it on both an iMac and a Macbook pro with SU2017 pro.
Problem 1 is (as other have noted) that the menu is blank - you can't choose any tree type.
Problem 2 is that the plugin dissapears when you quit and restart SketchUp! Yes, it's not disabled - it's not there! -

Then, make sure you read the entire description of what is NOT working

Still having the same problem as lgrahm on my Mac with SU 2017 seems to work fine in SU 2015 however.

Hi Dave R, can you explain the process of how you are editing already created trees please? This is a plugin that we have paid for and whilst it wasn't expensive we would like to continue to use it in 2017 Pro. As you discovered It makes trees fine, they all generate originally but you can not edit them once created as a large percentage of the sliders are listed as "NaN" and the redraw button does nothing and the ruby console throws an error.
Works ok though in 2016 pro.
Would really appreciate a description of how you got it working so we can try the same thing.
This post describes the issue we are running into;

The plugin works fine in the Windows version of SketchUp 2017 but it doesn't work for the MAC version of SketchUp 2017. I have both and the drop-down menus in both the trees and grass dialog boxes are empty in the MAC version. I can import a tree that I made with the Windows version into the MAC Version of SketchUp but when I select the tree, then right click to bring up the context menu, the context menu is empty, too. I am, however, able to turn on and off the proxy of the tree that I've imported into the MAC version of SketchUp.

I uploaded in sketchucation plugin store a new version that is working with SU2016 and SU2017.

How did you do it ?
I can't see an updated version ? -
The last version 1.10.14 doesn't work on Mac OS X 10.11.6 & SU2017, I can't select the trees in the list, this is empty. See the image.
EDIT: In SU2016 works fine.

Hi everybody :
Too bad there wasn't a version for Sketchup 8. I would upgrade.....but Sketchup Pro is $700. Right now, money is tight. garystan
