Shape style bug
-
I've tried searching to see if this bug already had been reported, but I can't seem to find anything similar, hence this post...
Steps:
1.) Draw 2 lines
2.) Select the first line and use the Shape style to set the Dashes style to 2 x dash and 2 x dots.
3.) Select the second line and set the Dashes style to 2 x dash and 3 x dots.
4.) Export to pdf-document.As you will see the lines looks identical in the pdf-document showing 2 x dashes and 2 x dots...

In LO they appear correct...
If you print from LO the lines are also being printed correct...I've attached a sample file...
Can someone else please confirm if they experience the same in order to report this as a real bug to Trimble...
-
yes**Kim** , that is correct , it happens to me also

-
Thanks for confirming, Juan...!

It's a very annoying bug, since I use this in P&ID's to indicate different directions of water flow...

-
same here

Does anyone from Trimble see these bug posts or should I report it somewhere else...?
-
It's reported

Cheers, Rich...

Hi Frederik-
I just investigated this bug - it's apparently a limitation in the PDF library that we're using on Windows. It only supports line styles up to four elements, and skips any additional elements! So, dash-dash-dot-dot-dot (five elements) gets truncated to dash-dash-dot-dot (four elements).
We're looking at possible workarounds now but I can't promise anything. Sorry for the bad news, but thanks for reporting the issue.
thanks,
Marc -
Thanks... Much appreciated...
