Just joined up to learn more about the most frustrating program I've ever encounter. The more I use it though, the easier it gets. Not intuitive like other drawing programs I've used on the PC. I'm getting used to though. πŸ˜•

Edit: After two weeks I looked back at this post. I've spent a lot of time studying the basics of Sketchup and watching videos. My frustration level has dropped from MaxOverload down to "what in the heck did I just do to cause that?" Now I'm looking for things I want to build just to get to model them in SU.

Your never to old to learn Sketchup, I'm living proof!

Welcome aboard. I'm surprised you wrote its not intuitive. But, like most programs, the more you use it and play with it, the easier it will become.

          Thanks for the welcome,
When I said other drawing programs I was referring to programs such as Powerpoint, Illustrator, Photoshop and such. To a person familiar with programs like AutoCad it may be different. I've never used any of those type programs so I'm flying into uncharted skies.

May just be a case of getting used to a 3D environment, once you get comfortable you will find yourself trying to orbit images in Photoshop.

                  Welcome to the forum.
I'm fairly new to SU also, coming from DataCad with very little 3D experience.

Very helpful forum here and finding it gets easier rather quickly.

Yelp, we talked about five years ago when I tried to master Sketchup once before. I've fully retired now so I've got the time to study and ask dumb questions LOL
