Revizto - a first look.
-
I used a recent version out on your website this week to show a client their exterior. Everything worked fine. The only issue I found was that groups or components that had been painted as a group or component did not carry it's texture through to Revizto. these groups and components were shown as the natural SU color blank. This was pretty easy to fix from my side by just opening the groups and painting them.
The other issue I came into was not so much an issue as a limit. I had problems with the file size. I had to shrink the land and eliminate trees maybe 3 times before the file size got to where it would finish uploading to your site gallery. I think it ended up being 80 megs. the Revizto file not the SU file.
All in All... I'm very excited about this piece of software. It's going to connect me to my clients in a closer relationship. Allowing them to see what I can see in a 2D plan.

Hi,
strange.... I personally was testing many files (Revizto) with greater sizes and had not any problem with uploading, except time to wait sometime.
Look here: http://www.revizto.com/projects/view/569 - its almost 250 mb.Thanks for using
You may send me private message with your most great size project. I would like to test it for uploading on my side. Then when it is uploaded in gallery I can invite you in private message to look if everything fine or not. Just let me know and we may set such expreriment .
Or, do you speak about 3D view in gallery? Yes there is some limitation in file size, amount of polygons and textures, etc.

No I'm speaking of the revizto file not finishing the upload to the server. it's errors and says timed out. I will try again and send you the more complete error report. I was under the impression that it was some type of limit in time or file size for the web connection.
Your experiment sounds good. I will also upload the file that I was having issue with before I trimmed it down.

I've updated my installation of Revizto. I tried again the original file and again found that the textures were switched around. While there I noticed a few of the textures were missing and some faces were showing through some other faces. I wanted to fix this so I went back into the sketchup model and corrected those issues. While out of Revizto I decided to flush my temp files before opening Revizto again. I did this and when I again imported the model all but one texture were correct. One texture is still being a pain but I believe it is my modeling error having the texture applied at a higher level of the model some where. So temp files seemed to have something to do with my problem. Like you stated earlier when the model was opened in the Revizto Viewer the textures were correct.
Also this model that I just did was very large. I had no problem uploading it to the Revizto server. So I don't know what had happened earlier.
An issue I had in the viewer is that the eye level was quite short. it seemed to be around 4'... I would like to have a way to set eye level in the Editor if that's possible. Perhaps it already exists and I just didn't find it.
I also had issue with the collision inside the house. does it not work inside?
I think these are all minor issues. It's a fantastic tool.
If anyone would like to use the viewer to walk through the model it's located here.

I see you did upload of even more large file .

To avoid material aberration with new version of Revizto please turn off Material Editor (colored cube on toolbar) and import your SKP as a new project. Or you can simply remove the folder C:/ProgramData/Vizerra/materials. This folder can contain wrong materials from previous version of Revizto due to bug that you discovered for us.

In case it doesn’t work for you please send us screen shot of the texture placement in your model (marker directly in SketchUp). For developers is hard to identify which one you are talking about if they haven't exact picture how it should be and its placement in the model. Also, we need texture itself.
We should identify why you still got one texture incorrect in case if item 1 above didn’t help you. Probably, it is graphics file format, which isn't yet supported in Revizto. We should identify which one.
Also, I see in your project you are using some time one the same texture for different kind of objects and surfaces. Please pay attention: if you'll change material settings for this texture in our editor then all objects using that material (texture) will get the same changes.
Flickering textures - you should avoid such things building your project in SketchUp. This is even more important for viewer.

We plan to add such Eye Level settings in future Revizto versions. It is in our development plan due to often requests of our Revit users.

About automatic collision model I posted answer above for Solo. Please take a look.
Also, Revizto divide all the objects into next categories:
TOPOGRAPHY,
WALLS,
FLOORS,
CEILINGS,
ROOFS,
PADS,
STAIRS,
COLUMNS,
RAILINGS,
DOORS,
WINDOWS,
FURNITURE,
PLANTING,
ENTOURAGE,
ACCESSORIES,
ANOTHER
The categories from TOPOGRAPHY to RAILINGS have collisions. The rest don’t have it. You can change a category of object in Revizto Editor. Choose in menu Tools/Objects, choose the needed family and right click on it.Happy Easter!

Kris, I get this message from you link: "You don't have sufficient rights to access this page"
By this way it doesn't work.
He should invite you from his page using your email. Then you'll have email message with the invitation. Once you accept invitation the project becomes available for download in viewer for you using menu -> folder icon -> Cloud icon -> select available scene. But before this action you should Log In inside viewer using your revizto account. -
If anyone would like to look around send me your e-mail and I'll add you to the list of viewers.

Hi folks,
I posted a few questions that will help us to understand in which direction to go in our further development.
