are you on windows? (maybe update your profile here so people can see that when you seek help)

if so, try this: FluidImporter Win32
        http://www.fluidray.com/downloads/

you can also try TIG's obj importer: (works on mac as well)

          Hello,

          I'm using windows7 64bit and sketchup8 Pro..
I try TIG's obj importer, but it seems to be a bug,
          what i'm trying is open a new file,plugins>obj importer>import object[no materials]

and i browse the .obj file (its 6Mb file size, and OBJ importer unit windows appear and I choose Inch but nothing seems to happen.

at dialogue box at bottom of sketchup, its appear someking of 'processing bla2x..' but only last for a second... did i miss something on the installation method sir?
