Paint cut section
-
ALVA 13.12.12.skpCould be possible to paint and to drawing in the cut section? I have used add section to cut faces plug in and I have with this plug in the possibilite to have a closed section cut, but I'd like also give a material to the face or add some 3d elements like the iron inside the concrete.
Why the cut face if u zoom on the cut is a little inside and not in the edge of the face? why if i delete the section plane a little red line is left in the place where was the section plan?
Another little question, why there is not an undo button in SU? every time need to open the modify menu and press the undo to come back to the previous command
Thank u for the attention

If you have the larger sketchup standard toolbars made active then there are undo-redo buttons available.
I assume you refer to my SectionCutFace tool...
This makes the faced section-cut as an editable group.
If it's locked use the context-menu to unlock it for editing.
You can simply double-click on it and you are then working in its entities context.
In there you can change materials, add geometry, etc etc to 'your hearts content'...
If you want its faces' edges to be visible, remember to switch them 'on' in the dialog, OR afterwards they are 'hidden' lines [but visible 'dotted' with View > Hidden Geometry ON], select-all > Entity Info > Hidden 'unchecked', changes them too... -

There is an undo button in the Standard toolbar. See all the toolbars here: http://support.google.com/sketchup/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=70171 (scroll down to the "Standard").
