      Hello everyone,
I am just a beginner and started to discover this wonderfurl site! I am interested in deforming a surface limited by several ridges, where one ridge can be deformed but the rest remain fixed. Therefore, the surface would deform following the deformed ridge. Imagine a sphere of rubber with a cut. The surface would deform locally at the cut, partially reaching the surrounding area, but not all the sphere. In addition, one side of the cut shoud remain fixed!. Does anybody know how to make it?
      I would appreciate any help!
      Best
      Pedro

Make sure View > Hidden Geometry is ON.
Select the edges delineating the various 'ridges'.
Use the native tools like Move, or Rotate, or Scale etc to manipulate the ridges as desired.
You may need to hold the Alt-key to force auto-fold in some situations...
It's something you need to 'play' with to realize the potentials...
