Selection problems
-
Hello!
Ive got myself quite a complex mesh that has a thickness of 2mm. because of the way this mesh has been made ive got lots of little faces within it that would take me days to select. I know that blender has a 'select visable' option whereby the faces and what not behind what youre selecting dont become selected.
My aim here is to select all the faces inside the model and delete them to have the model ready for 3d printing.
Any help would be much appreciated.

You could try my SolidSolver... http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=359994#p359994
it might take a while to run if you have lots of internal partitions... IF the modeling is too 'sloppy' it might fail... -
Did you try SolidSolver (TIG)?
Thomthoms VertexTools ($) has an option to select only visible vertices...
Edit: Ok, TIG was faster

Thomthom's Selection Toys and Cleanup plugins may also be useful here.
