      Hi,

      Why did Google sell SketchUp to Trimble?

      I guess Trimble has more experience in architecture & engineering development which is good because most of my work relates to that field. But!!!!... I hope Trimble is vision for SketchUp is much broader than that because, I also see this tool being useful for entertainment industry like animation & game development.

      My wish is that the Trimble team will expand the API so that ordinary people like me will make their own tools.

        Google are moving to automatically generate building for Google Earth - making redundant all the manual labour.

        At Basecamp it was emphasized that the API would be expanded. They are even hiring. Good signs. πŸ˜„
