is there anyone who succeed to give reflection on perforated material using VfSU 1.49.01?

(Stucked IOR 1.55 and metrial editor shows reversed results using with/without .PNG)

can you post an image and share your material settings (you can save as a vismat) hard to know what's wrong without some more info.

hi there! You don't see reflections, because the lamp cage is a single surface. Try to give it some thickness and be sure to put positive normal faces facing the bulb πŸ˜‰

Reflection doesn't need thickness - it can well be on a single thing surface.
              It's refraction that needs thickness.

i guess its one of BUGs that wont happen in 1.05.30
we,sorry, i cant give any reflection or refraction effects on perforated materials
i cant give any effects on leaves of trees for expecting reflecting lights on
we have so many versions of VfSU, nothing useful except 1.05.30
Tired to transfer materials to new version to adjust all factors just like this

since after closing the site of ASGVIS, many changes happen to VfSU, but useless.

Quick question to the OP. Did you use the same vismat for both instances? The reason I ask is because I know that there have been some issues using older vismats with the newer version of the VRaySU. You could try re-building your material from scratch in the newer version to see if that works better.
