If you need these sort of things maybe SketchyPhysics can help you!
A - Make a Terrain - given By the UI of SketchyPhysics (nothing to do! Pass to the next letter)
- or make a group or better a component with a thickness!
Select it : Right click / Sketchyphysics /State/Static)
B - Make a bowl or any recipient with a thickness: Right click / group or better component
Put it on the ground! or anywhere you want depending of your final result wished
Select it : Right click / Sketchyphysics /State/StaticMesh)C - A Component "Capsule" given By the UI of SketchyPhysics
Right Click /Sketchyphysics/ Shape Default:/Capsule)- or make anything as a group or better a component with thickness!
Select it : Right click / Sketchyphysics /Shape Default:/Capsule...or other following your object!
D - Multiply the "Capsule! A simple Vertical Copy / move *x on Z is sufficient!
E - Put them above the bowl or any container at any high altitude!
F - Press the Run button! (you can drag and move an object during the animation! )
G - Press the Run / Pause Button again when you are satify! Crucial point!
Don't press Restart or the SpaceBar else all will restart from the beginning!
Tips: you can makes some ledges on your terrain else pills can roll and fall to the infinite!H - That all! Save as in V6 for me! "my_box_of_pills.skp"
When you have finished : Rename Sketchyphysics.rb in Sketchyphysics.007 because till now this funny plugin works only alone against the other Plugins for mysterious reasons!
File New - and reload your pills for some funny textures!

Sometimes following the volumes Pills go trough the walls!
Just separate your container in some groups or better components (Right click ...StaticMesh etc..)
You can hide the container for some curious volume in the space!

Some of your images are broken. Great tutorial though, I am going to try it on a model of mine that I've wanted to try something similar on for a while but never got through the SketchyPhysicsness of it.
