Premium Membership?

unlimited downloads? does this mean we are entering a future where downloads are limited and this forum becomes increasingly "closed in". Sincerely hope not.

OK, to clear up the confusion....
Premium Membership has nothing to do with how the forum exists. There are no restriction to any members. It is exactly as it was before. You can download as much as you want from the forums. All we did with the forums is fix some bugs and skin it with a new look.
What you may not have noticed is we now have a shop. In the shop there are free items which as a regular member you can download as much as you like and it will remain that way.
Premium members get more free stuff than regular members in the shop.
For instance, Premium members can download all the Emeco Barstools for free. While regulars get 3 free stools. If you look at Oli's HDR images you'll see there are free samples for regular members also.
Zip, nothing, zero has changed on the forums. That is what everyone wants and it will only change if members want it to.
The shop means members can share/sell the very best content and anyone who upgrades gets that content at 20% less. In some cases free.
The only thing that Premium membership changed for the forums is that you can be identified if you wish and there's an option to have a private forum set up to discuss sensitive material.
All those lovely plugins are free to download for as long and as often as you want. The shared models in the Components forum remain free. The styles are free. Everything on the forums is free.

Hopefully the SU masters share their work with beginners as previously and not only in the shop for money...
