2 files trying to open at once

Hey there SketchUcation, this is my first time in the Forum. I'm not sure if this is a Sketchup (SU) issue or an operating system issue, but recently when I'm trying to open a SU file, my computer tries to open another SU file from a completely different project folder at the same time. I'll see both SU files appear on my screen but neither will open completely to let me work on them. What's up with that?

You can open 2 files (same or not) in the same time, just launch 2 sessions of Sketchup!
Just carreful when you save them! -
I am not certain, but from your description it seems your operating system is calling to two different locations? Or your shortcut is pathed to two separate folders? Or this hallucination has no basis in fact?

Sounds like a Windoze system problem...
Does it only occur with SKP files ?
If so try reinstalling SketchUp...
Otherwise you must try some 'system tool' fixes
