Alien Head_2
-
Ummm, Rich can you post a rendered image of the alien were he is facing directly into the camera, something I wanna try out later and show ye
-
Had sound but it didnt export so well with the animation, kinda kills it thu, check it out
-
Wow, that is cool! It looks like he was talking at one point, what was he saying?
-
just after fixing a new export, ill be uploading shortly, this time the video will have side by side 3D and sound
-
Hope this version is alot more meaner,
Its side by side 3D, so you will need to use the cross-eyed Technic to view in 3D, works well for some but not everyone, iv requested the video to be converted to all 3D formats but it is quite effective. -
Nice work, liked the growls.
I tried the cross-eye technique, all I got was a splitting headache and crossed eyes (you will be hearing from my attorney) -

That was just a quick test, but thanks, I must admit Rich did a great job on the texture, I don't think I would ever be able to texture like that any time soon, learning texture for the past 2 wks and making slow progress with it.

Only unwrapped in Blender. Imported back to SU and then rendered in Thea.
I'll do a tutorial on the site once the dust settles.

Strange that you say that, iv being working on side projects using sketchup along side blender artists, and iv learned that sketchup users tend to hate blender and blender artists hate sketchup, it's really down to which you learn first, both 3D software don't model the same way, so when learning blender you need to forget everything you have learnt in sketchup and vice versa, I was trying blender myself and although progress was slow I still made progress.

Over The last five years I often tried to learn Blender but I refused everytime. I always hope to get a good beginner Tutorial to learn the basics.

Iv being planning on making another organic model of a head but this time on something i drafted up in gimp, this is a short video of my next project, i was trying to get a resemblance of a young captain kirk and this is what i ended up with, im also hoping to texture it with the same style in the video but thats later on.
Now to make a 3D character you need a front and side view to create the model, another term is character sheet which depicts all views, front, side back, top down. i attempted to model this from the front view only but failed miserably so making a side view is gonna be quite difficult for me on this.
