Fender Stratocaster - Finished
-
Finally finished the Fender Stratocaster after close to 3 years. This one is a bit of a hybrid since it includes a 1980s style headstock. The Marshall amplifier is an MG 100DFX.
Too many plugins to name but the primary ones are Artisan for creating the body and neck and several other parts of the model. Heavy use of the round corners plugin. SketchUV was used for the wound strings (tubes). This was all done on Sketchup free versions and the rendering is done with Kerkythea.
I was unable to create a UV map of the neck due to its complex nature so I ended up using a box map (using SketchUV) for the time being. The maple texture is a birdeye maple which I believe I found here on Sketchucation.
All modeling working done on Sketchup.
I'll be adding more rendering as they come out of the oven. I'm sure some of you will have some questions so feel free to ask.

WOOOOW! The strings and whole headstock is amazing! Can't wait to see more close ups. Great job!

Thanks for all the compliments thus far. Here's another rendering. These are all metropolis light transport (BPT) renderings.

Thought this was a nice high contrast shot. My favorite angle and feature of the Stratocaster body is the cutaway.

Just 23 passes and looking good.

This one is 129 passes.

These are the proxies used for creating the body and neck.
