Purge All on Steroids

Is there a Plugin a la Purgeall that not only purges unused but ALL materials Used or Not in the model. I want to strip down easily a pretty complex model that has a lot of undesirable materials.
Any thoughts?

My 'Global_Material_Changer' http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?p=63629#p63629 let's your current selection's materials go from '<<ALL>>' to '<<Default>>'... so to change absolutely everything just switch everything on and select-all before processing]. A subsequent Purge of Materials will then remove the unused ones...
