Z-depth channel problems - Vray Sketchup

Hi guys,
Im using VR 1.49 with SU8 on Mac.
I have been having troubles with rendering my z depth. I have looked at numerous tutorials on how to render the z-depth and I am reasonably confident I am doing it right. However, I am always getting an image that has lots of white blocks. Underneath it looks like it was rendering ok! here's the image of what I'm getting... can anyone help?

Are you using the DR Spawner?

Nope... just using my machine. Its not the file either, I have had the same result on different models.
