      vray-help.jpgHello all, new to SU.

Frustrating. I'm trying to follow along with the tutorial in the link above, but I'm having some trouble. At around 1:31, he opens the vray material editor, right clicks "scene materials" and "adds vray material". As soon as he does this, a material shows up in the "in model" materials window.

When I get to that last step, no material shows up in the SU materials window. Is there a setting I need to change for this to recognize newly created vray materials? Also, in the Windows>Preferences, I do not see vray as an extension. Could this be causing the problem? How would I get SU to recognize vray as an extension?

      Thanks in advance.

From the screenshots I can see you're using an old version of V-Ray. From your de3scription, it sounds like the very first version that didn't sync the materials.

What I don't understand is, if you're a new V-Ray users - where on earth did you get hold of the very first outdated version of V-Ray? It's not available any more.

seems to me the material was not applied. you can oly see the material in the SU material editor if you applied the material to the face. loading the vismat to the vray material editor is not enough.. you need to apply it.
