Five more Pro licenses, IF there's a demand
-
I have the opportunity to get five more SU Pro licenses. But first I need to know if there is an interest in them.
Same terms as before (see these threads http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=43862, and http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=43846).
Again, this is on the honor system, you only pay after you are satisfied that your copy of SU Pro is up and running and has been activated, $90 either by PayPal or by check. Please, these are to be for your own use, NOT to sell for a profit, and preferably to people that can actually make use of the extra features of Pro, not just to have Pro. Of course I won't know what happens after you purchase your copy, I would just like to get these licenses to those who will put them to good use.
These will be the last licenses I can get, and like I said, I will get them only if there is enuf interest in them (otherwise I will have to sell them on Ebay, and I hate selling anything on Ebay, haven't done that for years).
So send me a PM, or post here, if you are interested.

Hell yeah, if I was in the market for another license I would not hesitate.

Well, that's two of us who think so
Make that three

You're license is probably getting all dusty and wrinkly, wouldn't a nice shiny new one be nice?

Whenever I read this I keep thinking of student licenses that are about $90 each and valid for a year. I've no idea about the differences in appearance between the two versions ("regular" and students version) but have you ruled out that they are the time limited ones. I hope you did and that I'm wrong in assuming they are.

I'm not out to rip anybody off, I just thought I could give back a little to the people here on the forum that has given so much to me. I'm not making a profit on these, in fact I am charging less than I paid for them.
If there is some doubt about these licenses, I will not purchase the five licenses, and I will refund the money to anyone who is not happy with the ones they did purchase. If you want a refund, just let me know.

That's a very generous thing to do and I didn't doubt your good intentions for a second. It's just something extra to be checked. Like I said, I hope I'm wrong and they prove to be the "regular" pro licenses.
I hate to think of people ripping you off and giving you a bad name. -
Thanks, but I'm just going to refund everybody's money. That's the only way to be sure that they can enjoy their SU Pro's without worrying about losing their hard-earned money if something does go wrong down the road. I honestly don't think it will, but I guess that doesn't mean that it won't. People have been bringing up all kind of doubts about this "deal", and from the response I'm getting apparently most of them are standing by the old "if it sounds too good to be true.....". Can't blame them for that.
Like most other things I do I guess I just didn't think this thing thru, so I'll just take the loss.
Sorry for all the inconvenience.

I'm receiving PM's from people wanting to buy one of the new licenses. Let me make this clear - I will not be purchasing the five new licenses I mentioned earlier, and I have refunded the money to those that bought the first four licenses. While I do not believe there is any sort of problem with those licenses, and I do believe that they will continue to enjoy SU Pro just as if they had bought full-priced licenses directly from Google, I do not want them to have to worry about losing their money somewhere down the road.
Bottom line - no good deed goes unpunished, and the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Believe it, it's a fact of life

Steve, I bought Pro off you with full knowledge of what I was doing and as far as I am concerned, it was 'sold as seen'. I have checked my emails and seen that I have had a refund but I am going to re-send it to you, just as soon as it's cleared.
-
Lee, I appreciate it, but please just keep the money. That's the only way I will feel right about this.
-
Ok, send one to me and I'll spare you of refunding the money.
...Just kidding
...you are right about "no good deed goes unpunished", but it shouldn't stop you doing it.

Hi everyone,
Chiming in here from the SketchUp team: it's very likely that the licenses in question here are not valid. A few folks on the forum have already mentioned the not-for-resale clause of SketchUp's end-user license agreement; to clarify, we can arrange for the transfer of a valid license upon request. However, in this case, we can't validate that they are valid SketchUp Pro licenses in the first place. I'm not saying at all that helinbak's intentions are malicious (in fact, his posts on this thread prove that he isn't), but I do want to give everyone a heads-up for when they see licenses like this in the future.
If anyone has questions about these licenses or how to transfer a valid license, please use contact the SketchUp Pro sales team here: http://support.google.com/sketchup/bin/request.py?contact_type=sales
