      Hi,

I am using a photo as a background to match the prospective lines with the model. When I am render with Vray the viewpoint is different from the Sketchup view.. I am using basic settings. Any idea why is not working?

If I am zooming out in Sketchup, in Vray I get always the same point of view! 😒

Please see in attached an example

      thx

      L

        Hi,

as i know, VRayForSu can't render Match Photos and doesn't recognize Match Photos perspective settings.
So, best way, when your scene is well setted with your photo, clic on the zoom tool and change de angular settings with 0.01° (for exemple 52.21° > 52.22°). The photo will disappear from the scene without great perspective changes and you will be able to render in VRay.

Hope to be clear in my poor english... 😕

          Hi,

          Thank you for the answer!

Yes, I tried that... it is funny because if I change the zoom angle of 0.1, Sketchup zoom a lot more in, and I get more or less the same view as the Vray point of view (cropped image)
Of course then I can then zoom out...but it is so precise... mmmh

Careful, i wrote change zoom angle of 0.01°. It will be like imperceptible. And you can go back to initial perspective settings if you want (-0.01°).

Usually find changing the zoom factor in vray to .6 works for me, then just tweak in photoshop.

                yes, ok thank you!

ummh is it the same also for you that after changed the angle, I have to zoom out a lot to get back to the view.

in attached yo can find what I mean:

                1_original view
2_as soon as I change the angle of 0,01, the view changes dramatically (actually is more or less what I get from Vray...perhaps a coincidence ?!?)

I stay very clear of Match Photo if I am using V-Ray. It is not reliable and is plagued with issues.
