      hi,
this is probably my first post on this forum, but i have always used the great info u guys share here, and i am thankful for that. the reason for not participating is mostly that i think i don't have any useful information to share, for u guys are pretty much more skilled than me. ( plus my english skills are pretty poor, as u see in this post πŸ˜› )
so my problem is, when I'm going to use one of Irradiance map's mods as "from file", it just doesn't render properly and shows sample size as 0. I've tested this method on 3dmax and it was quite useful to save samples and made rendering multiple scenes quite faster, but in vfsu, when i choose any option beside single frame, it doesn't even show in the list! it just turns empty! and in the rendering produced shadows will be too dark.
      i use the latest VfSU , 1.49.01
      and i use win 7 64 bit.
      and SU 8
      any advice there?

oh and i believe the problem IS with my windows being 64 bit. i tested this on another system with 32 bit OS and it works just fine.

maybe we did not really get what you are asking. images speak easier than long words.

that's a really odd problem. i would try simply reinstalling the VfSU (so that the paths and dlls and links etc. are written anew), other than that i have no idea πŸ˜•

            I'm using SketchUp 2017, V-Ray 3.4

There's quite a number of things that could be the problem. Since you say the image came out dark, my guess would be that the irrmap file you have and the view you are trying to render don't match. Try saving your irradiance map from the scene you are trying to render. If you are loading from another machine or from another scene, you may have issues using a saved map.
