An experimental design. Modeled in Sketchup, rendered in vray, the glare added in gimp. I am not 100% sure about the glare, excessive?

        Hi, ogan:
Nice model and concept. I like the use of the flowing black lines against the orange.
In reference to the glare. I feel within the given scene/environment it may be a little stronger than necessary. I recognize that the glint of light and the degree of lens flare could create the glare. I am no renderer, but from a layman's view, maybe the model would work better in a more complex environment? It would tend to give the object some sense of scale.

Thanks. Same render dark grey backdrop + a little post-processing.

I tried this boat in sea water but could not get anything usable.

d'oh! I noticed the bad framing after the post. ( I think we need a d'oh smiley) Well at least it does not increase memory or bandwidth.

              Hi, ogan:
Visually speaking, this is way better. The contrasting surroundings really accentuate and compliment the model. Seems like the right color, too. It negates the need for detailed background in order to promote the concept. I like the addition of the mesh, too. The glare, here, seems normal, not obtrusive. And the hill becomes steeper for me 😄

I'm not into boats, but I really like the lines of this one. Could we see some more views?

Well, the other views are not as dramatic. Especially considering the model has no interiors.
A lot more work is needed if you want to use it in any other purpose than the target shot, the back even has no material! The engines are based on a model from gideon in 3DWH. This model is really just sketch polished for one view.

Last one reminds of of something stinkie aka TomDC would do.....that means either it's good or strange 😉

                    I like good strangeness 👍
