I have an orange leather vismat. If I try to change its diffuse colour in the vray material editor to to any other colour, it switches back to its original colour. This happens the moment I hit the preview button. What should I do to change the colour?

    here's the file

make sure you are changing the color on the correct diffuse layer. If you have a material with more than one diffuse layer, it may be that the second one is controlling the color.

        there's only one diffuse layer

did you try changing the color in the SU material editor? Sometimes it keeps going back to the SU material color even when you change it in the vray material editor.

            Whatever came of this?

I am having the exact same problem with the exact same material.

Sounds like a bug. Just make a new leather material from scratch. Its not hard.

I've attached my leather material for you. Just change the diffuse1 color to edit the leather color. When you import into SU you will see a BW image and no color on the leather in the model, this is how you adjust the scale of the bump map. Currently, this is the only way to visually do this. Its one of Fernando's workarounds.

Adjust the reflection and bump as needed.
