Any Cinema 4D users here?

There are so many reasons, from Hyper nurbs to UV painting to animation rigging.
More tools, more oportunities.

Digital Tutors has quite a few freebies available:

This isn't free (cheap, though), but it should be useful:

Freebie from the same place:

Thanks Tom.

No problem. There's these, too: http://library.creativecow.net/tutorials/cinema4d
I've been eying C4D (and Vray) for some time as well.

Pete,
Would you ever try Blender? It's quite powerful and when you start to get to grips with it you reap the benefits. Plus the tutorials are abundant and free.

Blender is very powerful, but so intimidating, the problem is getting to grips with it, I have tried a few times but just fizzled out.

And fully compatible with Moment of Inspiration!
(Moi --> C4D not the inverse!
(Moi is used in general as Pre-modeler for C4D )
Export from Moi in OBJ with Ngons enable!
(if you don't know Moi, it has the same spirit of facility than SU!PS Hypernurbs has nothing to see with real Nurbs
-
Pilou, you have punted MOI hundreds of times, are you an employee?
-
MOI is good but not a mapping solution.

You know, the 'recent' UI overhaul really worked wonders. And Rich is right about those tuts.

@Solo
Not really, but i am with it from the begining for all the French parts!
UI, Manual, Forum, Wiki, my own site and own tutorial videos etc... a cool mode to fill my old days and nights!About the mapping, there is no problem: make it in C4D
All is yet well oriented for a renderer
And better than Blender for example, this last one don't know use all informations of orientation's vertices/faces !Modeling Moi3D and Autodesk 123d
Texturen and Fx Cinema 4D and Turbulence 4D
Animation Cinema4D

Just wondered if you were tempted by the fact that Thea will soon operate fully functionally inside C4D? This would be absolutely amazing. -

In The Oven - Thea Render for Cinema4D http://www.youtube.com/v/I-Vq2BGzdbU
As all plugin authors can use the same SDK, it's more a matter of time when further integration will happen... naturally C4D does benefit greatly as it can handle high polygon models. SU may still need a external renderer, because of it's memory limitations. But certainly a deeper integration is now possible. -
Which of the C4D versions are you looking at (or working with)?
-
R 13
-
Final questions.
Are you able to export to C4D from SketchUp?
Does it work well, and in which format?
Thanks -

ThanksI have not tried yet, I am still on the absolute basics. Will need to stop learning this week as I have an urgent project (the hot potato job given to the foriegner over Thanksgiving)
