What's the strange effect? I don't see anything to be fixed. I would build the stairs as TIG indicated, though.

i imagine the softened edges is what he's talking about (those are tubes.. not pipes)

select the group then go window->soften edges (or right-click the selection and choose soften/smooth edges)
adjust the slider accordingly (default 30º works well)

Take smoothing off, and they will be square.

            hi,
i´ve encountered some strange effect during creating stainless stairs with curviloft plugin.
            any ideas?
thanks a lot for passing by

I guess I am curious how curviloft can be of use here?

George, I'm curious. If you were building these steps for real, how would you construct the stringers? Would stairs as you show them be structurally sound?

thinking about how they would be constructed in reality can be useful in determining how to draw them in SU.

Actually I might find a neat method. I just didn't know. The smoothing was solved pretty easily so.. you may have something useful. Didn't mean to be over-critical.
                Follow-me might do it too.

                  hi dave,
thanks for your suggestion, you´re right.
i ´ve seen, how the stringers are made, but i need more time with SU to realize it´s power & geniality.
hope to find out with this great forum and you guys soon 😄
                  regards!

note: the metal riser looks like round one, but it´s actually square.
