Someone help me out here, I can't remember the names; there are at least two plugins that create various spirals, one was a metalworking spiral and another simply created shapes. Either one combined with curviloft or extrude edges by X would get that nice snail shell-like roof.

Simple idea
I have "unstick" the pinky curves for more simplicity, but the idea is to take 2 spiral curves as you want as rails
The blue curve can have any form !
You can take a second blue curve for the last Click (and obtain a "tickness" )You can give thickness by Joint Push Pull by Fredo 6 in the case of my drawing image
Extrude Edges by Rail by TIG
or CurviLoft by Fredo 6 (some differents blue curves along the rails! )mirrored by rapport of your volute drawing
