Our good friend Honoluludesktop has passed away.

Wow! What a bolt out of the blue. Wesley was a great character and a very valuable contributor to this forum. I will very much miss chatting with him. So very sad...and so very young in this day and age. My thoughts are with his family; they must be devastated.
Having spent the whole of last weekend in hospital myself, wired up like a cyborg after collapsing in the bathroom, it really makes you realise how tenuous life can be. (Turns out it was just a hit and run virus that resulted in my blood pressure going through the floor for a few hours...scary though)
I really will miss his company and kind comments. -
WOW, sad news.
Had wondered recently why I hadn't seen posts from him. Though I never interacted with him did enjoy his posts and felt a kinship as he was the closest forum member to where I live that I was aware of.

I'm stunned !! Can't say more than it has been said already ! Now i wish i would have said to him thanks for all he has done for us !
A real gentleman with honest and sincere feelings for others!
Wish all the best(as it could be for someone in these moments) to his family and friends! -
Damned!
A very poetic avatar's name from the other side of the earth and I had numerous posts with him!
Bye Bye Honnolulu!
And have a good travel in the other side of the reality! -
Rest In Peace Wesley,
Your wisdom and generosity will be missed.
I'm sure you will be SketchUpping in Heaven. -
So sad. Got used to his name popping up around the forums, always helpful. Heartfelt condolences.
-
terrible news indeed. he always seemed to be one of the friendliest members of SCF, always interested in what other people were doing.
nevertheless, I am heartened by everyone's reaction. a virtual (in the sense of online) friend is no less of a friend than one we can meet.
yes, mike. if you can, please let his daughter know how well liked he was here.

I do not remember honolulu, but what I do remember is his picture. I've seen that image on quite a few of the forum threads and on few ruby threads. Heartfelt condolences to his near and dear ones. May his soul rest in peace.

Too sad.
Thank you for being so helpful & kindness in sharing your knowledge with others.
Best to the family. -
It's the second time for me such a sad event, what a strange thing...in a moment you realize there are real persons behind a nickname and after all they're not so far. See you Honoluludesktop

Sad news RIP Mate

In remembrance of honoluludesktop I'll add my voice to the chorus. Even if I've never been in touch directly with him I can still remember some of his posts, and I've always been aware that he is part of this community. Really sad news.
-
Indeed it's a great loss, first especially for his family and second for this beautiful community.
His observations on the posts were accurate and fair.
It's quite difficult to know he won't be with us anymore.
Rest in peace and God will take care of your family.
