Hi. I'm creating a hotel render with lots of windows, so I would like to show clouds or an enviroment reflected on those mirrors but I can't.
I tried using an HDRI image but I couldn't make it work.
      Please help. I tried everything.

      I attached an image preview.

I'm also having problem whit the reflections. As you can se, the grass isn't reflected on the windows.

Thanks in advance for your help,

      Anthony

How was the reflection effect in the pool accomplished? Would it be the same for the glass panels? I must say I have not done any technical rendering. I only have a vague idea of the workflow. Perhaps that pool reflection is merely a texture?

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.

The pool texture was accomplished by using a bump map and a reflection.
The windows are different. Just reflection and a little transparency. What I would like is to have a background with clouds or a landscape so it could be reflected on the windows.

If you see, the windows are reflecting a solid environment but I would like to reflect a landscape or clouds.

Then my guess is you need a skyvault or a surround with sky image on it, maybe it needs to be illuminated and the illumination raytraced to the glass. Still only guessing.

                      1. attach the material glass reflection map1.JPG2.JPG
                      2. enable the option "Exclude all objects from reflection"

                        Thanks a lot OSN58.
Now I could add a background reflection easily just as you explained.

I'm experimenting a problem that I use to have a lot. Some textures aren't reflecting on the windows.
I have searched for a solution everywhere but I couldn't find it. Please help me fix this.

                        Thanks

You should check to make sure the material on the ground is applied to the outside (white) face of the plane. I believe if it is applied to the back face it messes up Vray in some instances.

                            Note the Blue 'reversed' face

Note the reflection in the metal chrome material
