Hello. I'm using Sketchup 8 and Vray. Both are legal software. Well: when I try to render a project that include a .3DS model (example, downloaded from Archive3D (excellent models!!!) I receive this error.

When I render the same project with Artlantis, for example, not problem but the quality is better in Vray. Somebody can help me with this anomaly? Really, is urgent for me because I need finish the project (two weeks of work). I'm new in Sketchup. Always I work in 3Ds Max but for some Architectural presentations, I like very much Sketchup. Much less complicated)

    Thanks in advanced.

I have this message also sometimes. What i do is save the file and restart sketchup. In most of the cases 99% it wil render then without any problem.
What the reason is for this message, i don't know i think it is a little bug 👊

WOW! I have looked for this solution in several forums more than one week and only you get me a solution. Really, that it is a very strange problem but the important thing is that it works via saving-closing-open. Thanks very much!!!!!

I have the same problem too, usually when the model becomes heavy.
What I do is to click OK and render again and usually it starts render with no problem, and if it freezes the SU the just restart it.

That bug is a pain in the ass.
