      Hi,

I have an ongoing problem relating to rotating a texture. After applying a texture I move it so the edge snaps to the corner of the face, this works fine. I then rotate it so it runs parallel to the line. However, often when I've roatated it to the edge and I want it to snap to the line the material starts to move slowly, almost in a floating fashion. WhenI press enter the material isn't positioned as I would like it to be. Has anyone else experienced this problem or know of a fix? Is there a script which will automatically align a texture to an edge to avoid this issue?

      Any help would be appreciated.

      Cheers

      Andy

        Hi,
are you editing the texture position of a face inside a group/component? There is a bug for scaled/transformed groups, where textures move every time after closing the group (and undo does not undo this).

If not, then I don't know this issue.
You could try "Fit Texture to Quad-faces" to align a texture to an edge (if you are working with rectangles or other quadfaces).

          Hi,

Unfortunately this happens on a standard face which is not part of a group or in a component.

In general I'm dealing with faces constructed with more than four sides. Thanks for the reply.

          Cheers

          Andy

Also look for my TextureTools which allow you to Rotate/Scale/Position any texture on a selected face either by typing in an amount OR by using the arrow keys...
            Search the Plugins Index...
