First of all, sorry for my bad english, this is not my native language.
I like biplanes, they impressed me to make this model. I used KeyShot renderer to make this picture. Please, tell me what is right or wrong with it. It is not finished yet, I'll add details to it in the near future. I am a newbie in rendering, and, perhaps, there are some problems with it ๐Ÿ˜’

I know nothing about rendering, but the model itself looks very nice ๐Ÿ‘

I would say that you have created a very artistic presentation with a spare palette of texture and color. I think Picasso said like, "if you can paint with five colors use four and if you can paint with four use three." You seem to have mastered an elegant simplicity, now go in the direction of complexity until you fail. That is what you need to do to expand your skills. Do more textures, bump maps, dirt maps, more colors, trickier lighting detailed environments. You will know when you have gone too far, but the experience will expand your skill set. You are too good at the level you are at so bump it up until it begins to be a struggle. No pain no gain.

to be honest, there are no textures at all and one bump map for all of engine details. thanks for tips, I'll make some environment parallel to finishing model itself.

              Good job!
But the prop doesn't look good/right.

I think this looks really, really good - and I'm looking forward to seeing more details! I like how you did the wing covering between the ribs.

Can you post a image with model having hidden geometry on?

                  I think it's very expressive !

Below you will see two photos of a metallic model, the kind you find in souvenirs shops. Maybe it can inspire you for "dirtying" your model ๐Ÿ˜‰

Perhaps, you right. Initially, the plane was more oldschoolish, but since I rewrote much. However, I didn't touch the prop.

I'm guessing it's because of the perspective and view angle. It looks ok for me. The bees shouldn't fly neither (because of their shape)... but they do ๐Ÿ˜„

Pretty good model ๐Ÿ˜„ I didn't think of dirtying, just maybe make my plane more "natural". In general, we'll see.

Actually it's because of their weight/wing size ratio ๐Ÿ˜†

Of course you're free to shape the prop however you want to, but as you were asking for problems/errors...
Such props were typically tapered much narrower closer to the hub/root. And they were usually rotating in the other direction too (clockwise when seen from the pilot).
Here's a model of a plane quite similar to yours, the Sikorsky S-16: http://www.essmc.org.au/jonbuncess16.html

I'm surprised nobody has suggested tricking it out with few machine guns, missile launchers and maybe some laser cannons and a cloaking device ๐Ÿคฃ

My prop is rough, it lacks finesse, I agree. ๐Ÿ˜‰ i'm gonna to make smtg like this:

Hmmm, are you talking about a bee? Or plane? In fact, I intend to install a couple of big guns on it))

Hmmm....hadn't thought of the bee, now that would be interesting (although with it's undersized wings it might also need a warp engine)
