Vismat scaling
-
Hello there I'm new to the forum and not sure where to look.
I'm currently working on a model and have started to apply materials to my models. I have used the downloadable vismat collection and I'm having issues with the scale of the vismat materials. I have applied the vismat material to the faces of my model but every time i render the material it comes out in a really small tiled look. The preview in the vray materials editor is fine. How do i scale the vismat material so it is larger? The material in question is the one applied to the furniture

Thanks in advance and apologies if this has already been asked before.

Open your materials window in sketchup and edit the texture size in the "edit" tab or that material. Vray uses the scale that is set in sketchup.
Also, make sure you have a material in your diffuse layer as explained here, as some vismat textures don't include a material in the diffuse layer:

If you're having a problem placing the texture for dispalacement or bump properly, it's probably because you don't have a diffuse texture set. SketchUp's UV system expects a texture to be set that is visible in the viewport. If no texture is visible in the viewport, the model will have no UV information.
Hope that helps.
