I wish I'd thought of that.

The end is nigh....very nigh....like...tomorrow.
At least according to the Rapturists in the US.
Glad to see the spirit of enterprise isn't dead though.(from the BBC website)

An atheist and entrepreneur from North Hampshire, Bart Centre, is enjoying a boost in business for Eternal Earth-bound Pets, which he set up to look after the pets of those who believe they will be raptured.
He has more than 250 clients who are paying up to $135 (Β£83) to have their pets picked up and cared for after the rapture.
They would be disappointed twice, he told the Wall Street Journal. "Once because they weren't raptured and again because I don't do refunds."

How about an inexpensive 'Life-After-Death' insurance policy for Atheists ?
If the insured Atheist dies and finds that after all there is life after death, then they just have to come back and claim the benefit payment...
If there isn't they don't feel bad anyway and if there is then it's a double win - cash and eternal lifeWhen I was at university many y_e_a_r_s ago we hatched a money making scheme [that never took off]...
Back then predicting the gender of an unborn child was very uncertain, but with 'Prognosapreg' we had the answer...
You'd send in all the details of the parents', birthdays, date of conception, mother's urine sample etc etc and Β£60; by return we forecast the baby's gender... but recognizing that no system is 100% reliable, if we were wrong and you send us the baby's birth-certificate to prove it we would immediately refund your Β£60 + Β£30 for your inconvenience.
So if we are right you think it's Β£60 well spent - you are happy.
If we were wrong you've got all of your money back plus a significant sum as compensation Β£90 - you are still happy.
Of course what we actually did was to ignore all of the guff you sent us, and we sent you a standard letter saying you'll have a girl...
Since girls are slightly in the majority, on average we keep just over Β£30 per customer; overheads are low and we earn interest on each the Β£60 fees for several months, so all in all total profits should be ~Β£20 per inquiry, or ~33% of total turnover...
Of course then some nit invented ultrasound scansNow to think of something similar...

I know for a fact you going nowhere at least not to the harp factory in the sky.
Now if I mysteriously disappear tomorrow (what time zone by the way? Fiji or USA?) then there is something fundamental wrong with religion.

There is something fundamental wrong with univers.
Exit is in deep space! -
seems a little unwise to put all of your credibility in a date so close... in two days a lot of people will know how wrong they were...

They're claiming that 200 million will be heading skywards this Saturday. Get ready to snap up some really cheap properties. Excellent business opportunity.

Anyone got a good use for empty churches?

I don't know how this could be a bad thing. Reduced population would be less of a drain on natural resources, reduced likelihood of famine, reduced CO2 emissions, more room for nature to come back. Great for the environment! Doesn't seem like much to fight over anymore. Less people = less disease vectors, so plague isn't likely. Huh, starting sound like this could be the best thing ever!

have you seen the Rapture Pet Sitting Service? they take care of your animals when you get called up to on high...

LMAO... talk about losing track of a conversation...

Have you seen the guy's website?
To be fair, he makes no secret about being an atheist. (Well, why would he...I guess that guarantees he doesn't have a Golden Ticket)
And he does offer a 10 year window for being raptured, not just the specified day...not that that increases the likelihood any.
I guess the reasoning is that 10 years from now, when the policy finally runs out, they'll have forgotten all about it.Hello?
Hello?

Come on Pete, I know you're still around. -
