Bug with TAB character in menu (SU8)
-
Did anyone notice that in SU8, the TAB Character (\t) seems to be ignored or treated as an end of String?
This happens in the contextual menus of some of my plugins for displaying equivalent functions keys.
It does work fine in SU6 and SU7 however

Never noticed it - but I've never thought of using tab characters in menu texts...

I've always avoided non-standard characters in menu-text - e.g. '&' is a no-no too...

True - it's usually a special character used to indicate what is the activating key.

The Tab allows to justify text on the right (in my case, it is the short cuts). This is relatively standard in Windows. Sketchup itself uses this to shoz the short cuts in the main menu bar
The problem is that it does work in SU6 and SU7 but not in SU8.
Maybe I should log the bug to the Beta forum.
